Mission

The mission of the Student Ambassador program is to provide Wayne State University with student leaders who represent the University as official representatives and volunteers at various University events involving the Office of the President, Development, and Special Events.  The Ambassador program brings together students from various academic disciplines and cultural backgrounds and serves to enrich and enhance leadership and communication skills, personal growth, and professional development for its members while creating long lasting ties with their future alma mater.

Membership Criteria

    •  Currently enrolled student
    •  2.75 or greater cumulative grade point average
    •  12 or more credit hours earned at Wayne State University
    •  A sincere desire to represent Wayne State University
    •  Strong communication and leadership skills
    •  Enthusiastic and positive personality
    •  Ability to work well with others and to be a successful team player
    •  Ability to discuss a variety of University-related subjects and be familiar with details about their own academic program and major
    •  Ability to attend training sessions
    •  Ambassadors must be willing to commit to the Ambassador program and volunteer a minimum of 10 hours each semester.

Selection Process

The Wayne State University Student Ambassador program is open to all students attending Wayne State University on a full or part-time basis.  Interested applicants are required to complete an online application form
